These types of heels because of their height and weight aren’t the most pleasant to walk around in. If you are going somewhere where there will be quite a bit of sitting or limited walking, these make great heels. These are not real brass knuckles and should never be purchased for that type of use. They are just the design never intended to be an offensive or defensive weapon.

First of all, make sure that your current brass knuckles pendant can come off the current chain. For most it can be taken off and used on a different necklace.

Chains come in a variety of finishes. There are steel, silver, gold, and even at times rubber chains that people used with their brass knuckles. One very popular version of a chain are the necklaces that literally look like a chain giving it that industrial look.

For women a chain that is around sixteen to eighteen inches should be long enough to show your brass knuckles without a problem. Men will need chains between two and three feet. Generally speaking thirty inches is the right size for most men.

If you do not own either the pendant and the chain, buy them together as this will make the purchase a bit cheaper.

First of all figure out which type of material that you want. They come in steel, pewter, stainless steel, silver, chromed, painted, and other finishes. One popular accessory added on to many pendant and the chains as well are rhinestones. Be sure to get the metal and colored finish you desire.

Be warned about size. Some pendants are extremely small and can barely be seen. Look for it’s measurement in inches to get an idea how big it is before making a buying decision.

Make sure that you don’t buy pendants that are full of lead. Many cheap jewelry has been imported from overseas full of toxic leads. Look for lead free versions when making a buying decision.

These belt buckles come in many of the same varieties as the pendant models do. Many belt buckles are popular in chrome as they show up easier than some other color. The rhinestone belt buckles are just as popular as they are when made into pendants.

Be sure to buy a belt buckle that is the size you want. Some of these buckles are fairly small and hard to be seen. Make sure that you can get an exact size to get an idea of how big it will be. If too small, no one sees it. If too big, it can be uncomfortable at times.

Some people choose to get matching rhinestones on the chains as well so both pendant and necklace look similar. At times you may have to buy both separately to get this effect. Just make sure whatever knuckles pendant you buy comes off whatever chain it originally comes with to do this.

One thing you need to keep in mind about rhinestones is that the cheaper versions tend to come off over time. The stones can detach and fall to the ground leaving you with an empty spot on your brass knuckles. If painted, this will be very noticeable. The mid-range or more expensive versions won’t have this problem as much.

Rhinestones typically are considered the cheaper alternative to diamonds. Finding a diamond version of a brass knuckles pendant will be difficult unless custom made, but for the most part the look is similar.

Just like any discounted or cheap jewelry be sure that it is indeed lead-free as there have been some recent problems with lead products in these types of necklaces and other types of common accessories.
